This is undoubtedly the most commonly used of the key methodologies in the recruitment business. Contingency is simply a database search of the most suitable candidates.

Advantages:
Response is generally very quick.

  • Clients have access to the most suitable candidates on the database.
  • Database candidates are registered as ‘actively looking’ for a new career and are by definition a warm prospect.
  • Cost effective, pay on results only, no up-front fee.
  • No exclusivity agreement, therefore client company’s use as many agencies as they wish to.
  • Candidates are pre-screened before being presented on a short list.
